Rear Spring Installation
This is a log of my experience replacing rear springs on my vehicle and it is not a tutorial or service manual procedure.
General tools used:
◦15mm and 18mm combination wrenches
◦15mm, 18mm, and 19mm sockets
◦3" and 6" socket extensions
◦T40 Torx bit and wrench/holder
◦Diagonal wire cutter
◦Internal spring compressor
◦Floor and/or scissors jack(s)
Put the back of the car up on jack stands and remove the wheels.
Remove the trunk floor and side liner to expose the top shock bolt under the foam pad.
Hold the shock stud with a T40 torx bit to keep it from turning while removing the 18mm nut.
Remove the sway bar nuts using the T40 torx bit to hold the stud. Remove the sway bar link and set aside.
Loosen the 15mm bolt holding the leading control arm to the hub knuckle.
It's OK if the bolt does not come all the way …login to view the rest of this post
